About Saranalayam NGO

SARANALAYAM Charitable & Educational Trust, Cuddalore is a registered Not for Profit, Nation Building Organisation in the year 2003, under Indian Trust Act 1886. For the past 18 years, SARANALAYAM has worked for the betterment of disadvantaged and marginalised people with various developmental aspects especially using Information & Communication Technology as a tool for Community Development.

Founder :

SARANALAYAM Trust founded by John Nelson, Fellow of Jamsetji Tata National Virtual Academy (2005) an initiative of MSSRF and inducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, then President of India to work as a torch bearer for the cause of spreading knowledge revolution in rural India and recipient of District Youth Award (2006), Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.

Mission :

Saranalayan dreams a just order human friendly society where human life is valued and every human being is facilitated to perform his/her fundamental responsibilities to bring about a just order society.

Objectives :

To work for the improvement of the poorest in the society
To Provide educational access to the needed rural children
To use information and communication Technology effectively for the community development
